Karpathos has a bus network that connects Pigadia with the villages and some of the beaches of the islands.

Buses go to the villages of Ammoopi and Pyles, via Aperi, Volada and Othos, while to Arkasa, via Meniti and Lefkos.

There is a special bus that connects the capital of the island with the village of Olympos. This bus runs three services a day, throughout the year.

You can rent a car, bike or bike, either in Pigadia or on the east side of the road leading to Aperi.

There is a taxi stand on Dimokratias Street in Pigadia. At the same location, you can also find a list of fares.

During the summer months, small traditional boats (caiques) make daily trips from Pigadia to Diafani and to the beaches of Kyra Panagia and Apella.
