Karpathos has 160km of coastline with countless beaches of varying beauty.
There are beaches for peace and relaxation, but there are also organized beaches with umbrellas, restaurants and tavernas.
Amooph
The most well-known and popular area of Karpathos with many turquoise beaches. The picturesque and beautiful beaches of Ammoopi are sandy, sheltered from the wind and with shallow waters. They are suitable for families with young children. The turquoise waters are impressive. The beaches here are organized. Next to the sea there are restaurants and taverns.
Achatta
The beach of Achatta is sandy with fine pebbles. Its deep blue waters with the imposing masses of rocks that surround it create an enchanting landscape. Organized with umbrellas and a tavern.
Apella
The award-winning beach of Karpathos with its crystal clear turquoise deep waters, the exotic shade of sand and in some corners pebbles, make up one of the most beautiful beaches of the island. The imposing pine-clad mountain makes the landscape fascinating. It has umbrellas and a small tavern.
Kyra Panagia
Perhaps the most photographed beach of Karpathos. Golden sandy beach and crystal clear deep waters, surrounded by pine clad mountains that descend to the beach. It has umbrellas and restaurants. Its characteristic feature is the beautiful chapel of “Kyra Panagia” on the edge and higher than the beach.

Golden sand with very fine pebbles. Blue waters. Organized beach with umbrellas and tavern.
Ag. Nikolaos – Arkasa
The Hawaii of Karpathos with a unique view of the neighbouring island of Kasos. With its golden sandy beach it is considered the best beach for body surfing in its continuous waves. It is an organized beach and has umbrellas, showers and restaurants.
Lefkos
Successive sandy beaches with turquoise waters. Unique view to the islet of Sokastro. Organized beach with umbrellas and taverns. Ruins of an ancient city on the beaches.
Xristou Pigadi
It is located in the Afiartis area, on the road to the Airport. It consists of fine gravel, natural shade and turquoise waters. There is a natural spring that flows into the sea and makes the water much cooler. There are umbrellas and taverns.
Diakoftis
It is located in the area of Afiartis on the road to Karpathos Airport. The double beach, gives you image and feeling …. Caribbean. The beauty of this beach cannot be described in words. Damatria
It is located in the area of Afiartis on the road to Karpathos Airport. Its unique turquoise crystal clear waters and the unique small lonely beaches that accompany it make it fascinating. There is a restaurant.
Agios Minas – Olymplus
On the way to Olympus, the unique beach of Aghios Minas with its unique pebbles and the picturesque chapel watching over it. You can come here by car or by boat from Pigadia.
Psorari
A little further up from Diakofti and within walking distance from the airport you will find Psoraris beach, another desert paradise. The beach is an ideal choice for those who like relaxed and solitary holidays. Here you will leave your towel on the rocks and enjoy only the sound of the sea.
Agrilaopotamos
In the southern part of the island is the surfers’ paradise. Relaxed atmosphere and strong winds create a unique setting. The beach is small, sandy and the water is shallow. There are no sunbeds but at the back you will find a canteen for the essentials.
Afoti
Afoti, which is a continuation of Pigadia beach, is a beautiful sandy beach that attracts a lot of people, as it is extensive, fully organized and close to the capital of Karpathos. On the promenade and in the surrounding area there are bars and tavernas where you can enjoy drinks and traditional food.
