The seaside village of Arkasa is located 16 km from the town.

It is built in a fertile area and impresses its visitors with its green nature, its beautiful beaches and its important historical monuments.

On the Paleokastro hill you will see the remains of the ancient city of Arkesia. In the same area there are also the remains of the early Christian basilica of Agia Anastasia, dating back to the 5th century. Its characteristic feature is its exquisite mosaic floors, parts of which can be seen in the open-air area of the church. The mosaic floor has been transferred to the museum of Rhodes.

During your stay in the area, visit the monasteries of Agia Sophia and Hypapanti.

You will swim at the beach of Agios Nikolaos and Agios Georgios. A few kilometres outside Arkasa, you will find the settlement of Finiki, with its small fishing port and the amazing beaches of Fokia, Adia, Akrotiri and Proni.

Arkasa is a growing tourist area, where you will find hotels and rooms to let.

There are also taverns and bars that cater to all musical tastes.
