A small beautiful village about 10 km from the capital of Karpathos, located at an altitude of 440 m between the villages of Aperi and Othos. The exceptional aesthetics and architecture of the houses make Volada one of the most beautiful villages of Karpathos.

The village is protected by the Virgin Mary of Slagia and is a white touch on a green slope.

These houses of Volada, the whitewashed streets and flowery courtyards seem to be guarded by the ruins of three castles, built in three different eras.

From the hill above the village, the view is spectacular.

Many customs are revived here, such as the procession of the icon of the Virgin Mary with the Epitaph on the evening of Good Friday.
